Today, families have more choices as far as the type and style of funeral programs that they can choose for their loved one. The traditional letter size program which is folded in half has been the most popular type of layout over the years. The graduated fold funeral program which is also referred to as offset, stag, tier, or drop program, is now the newest type of layout.

This style provides a new twist on the traditional funeral program layout and is also very similar to the traditional single fold program. The main difference is that the fold is not done directly in the center but rather the fold is completed slightly offset. This will then reveal a coordinating colored tab bar on the right side of the program. Which in turn, makes for a very pleasing presentation!

Often families will place the full name of their loved one on this tab or other such titles of "Special Memories", "A Loving Tribute" or even "Photo Collage". The tab on the side certainly provides a more modern or contemporary appeal to the program.

There are currently two different styles of graduated fold programs. The 2-page layout prints on a letter size paper and a 4-page layout which prints on two sheets of letter size paper. Obviously, the 4-page layout will hold more information and text since it does provide more room. It's not recommended that you add pages to this type of layout due to the graduated style but with the two different options, you should be able to fit your information nicely.

No doubt, this type of layout can be challenging to create from scratch therefore, using a preformatted and predesigned graduated fold funeral program template is the best option to achieve this look and style of program.

Although it is similar to the single fold or sometimes called bifold funeral program, this graduated program can contain the same information normally housed in a traditional program such as photos, funeral poems, the order of funeral service, bible verses or scriptures, and even hymn or song lyrics.

The next time you need to do a program, whether it is for a funeral or for another type of event, consider creating a graduated program for a special type of program presentation.
