Finding the right words to write inside funeral thank you cards may not always come as easily during a difficult time of loss. Keep in mind that it isn't always necessary to send a thank you note, especially if your in the early stage of grieving.
If you would however like to send them out to those who have shown you help or support during and after the memorial service, they can be easily automated to facilitate the completion of this task. A thank you note is never expected from the bereaved spouse or family member during the grieving period. It can be helpful though to send a thank you note or card to help you in the healing process.
During this difficult time, it helps if you write out your thoughts and give your expression of gratitude. If you are at a loss for the right words or do not know what to write in funeral cards, you can write something as simple as any of the following:
"Thank you for your kindness during the loss of (loved one's name), we sincerely appreciate all your prayers."

It can be a one or two sentence notation. It needn't be very long, people understand and will appreciate your sentiment. Consider sending thank you's to these people who helped with the flowers, given a donation in lieu of flowers, or provide a gift or sympathy card.
You may also want to send them to officiant of the memorial service, pallbearers, meal preparers, babysitters, or those who may have provided the funeral music. If you need help organizing this task, don't hesitate to enlist the help of a family member. With the evolution of the internet, sending out funeral thank you notes can now be done in several ways. You can also send them out via the traditional pre-printed Thank You card as well.
You send out thank you cards electronically. There are some web resources that offer ecards or epostcards free of charge or for a minimal fee. The advantage to ecards is that it is less time consuming and you don't have to sepnd money on postage. More people are now considering this form of email. Another cost saving tip would be to create your own thank you notes from websites that offer thank you card templates. You can personalize these card templates by typing messages before printing them and just signing your name in your own handwriting at the end of the note. The advantage to this is less writing or labor and its also cost saving, rather than buying them.
Select the best method for you and your circumstance. However you choose to send the thank you cards will be fine as long as you do not feel obligated to do so.
